it’s a paper dress!
Given the teeny amount of time available for sewing right now, I am going with the fastest option: sew up a Style Arc pattern. What makes it fast for *me:
- I can skip sewing a muslin mockup
- the paper is sturdy enough to be pinned
- the full-size front and back pieces are easier to work with than a typical ‘place-on-fold’ pattern piece
- The Style Arc block has shoulders that match the width of my shoulders
- for this style, the only alterations needed are where my neck and shoulders meet
- in a more fitted style, I might need more wearing ease in bust, waist & hips.
